I'm 4 months old!

Time is flying!  First, I can't believe that we are over half way through the month of March.  Secondly, I can't believe it is time to cut Weston's hair again.  He looks like the toddler version of an Alabama Frat boy.  But no pictures of him in this post because (thirdly) I can't believe that William is already 4 months old.  Yesterday, on his official 4 month birthday, he and I had some hang out picture time in an attempt to catch some Weston-free pics :)!

William Taylor Corley and his many cute faces....

Here's to growing up,

Well Weston, Not Quite

So if you know my dad then you'll love this story and even if you don't know him, I think you'll still find it pretty amusing.

For those who don't know my dad, here is a picture from last summer so you have a visual...

One of Weston's favorite people is Granddaddy, but when he says it it sounds like Dendy. It really is very cute :).  Well last Wednesay Weston was doing one of his favorite things. He found a deck of cards which he dumped out onto the floor and proceeded to spread them in all directions. His version of 52 card pick up without the pick up part. Sometimes I stop him at the beginning of his game but at the moment it seemed to be holding his attention for a while so I just let him sit in the pile and play.  The deck of cards he was playing with is sort of bizarre.  It is an "Iraq's Mosted Wanted" which was printed around 2002 and it has the faces of war criminals from Iraq printed on the cards. (Why do we have this deck of cards?  I really don't know!)  As I was walking around trying to get us ready to leave the house I heard Weston talking to one of the cards. I listened closer and heard him saying "Hey Dendy! Hey Dendy!"  When he saw me watching him he held up the card and said "Dendy!" with about as much enthusiasm as he could muster.

Below you will see a picture of the card Weston was holding...

Maybe it is time for dad to shave that mustache :).

Here's to laughing our way through the week!

Peach Cobbler Here We Come!

For those who do not know, Chilton County is known for its peaches.  Clanton even has a water tower that is a huge peach.  No...I'm not kidding!  Look for it next time you are driving on I-65 and you pass exit 212.

Needless to say, the Corleys will be enjoying lots and lots of peaches this summer!  I'm stoked and am already planning my cobblers and other fabulous peach creations!

Today, we took a quick family field trip into the country to see the peach trees that have blossomed.  Fields and fields of pink trees. It was a beautiful site.  I could get used to this country living!  Especially since I have a Publix and a Target only 25 miles away :)

Here's to a peachy weekend!

Asparagus and Mud

Weston is a good eater.  He loves food and will try just about anything.  Among other things, in the past week he has eaten hummas, zucchini, feta, spinach ( in the form of a cheesy spinach pie...but it was technically spinach), red peppers, pesto, and asparagus.  I'm proud of my little man!  But there are times when I am reminded that his appetite is still the appetite of a toddler....

Yes, Weston has eaten dirt twice this week.

Here's to trying new things :)!
